On the occasion of the founding of the Association of Brandy Producers of Serbia, a press conference was held on September 18, 2019, in the premises of the Ministry of Agriculture. The following addressed the public at the conference: State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Velimir Stanojević; State Secretary for Tourism Dr. Miroslav Knezevic and on behalf of the Association – Dr. Ivan Urosevic, Miroslav Knezevic, Milan Zaric and Jelena Jezdic.
In addition to the mission, vision and goals of the Association, the winners of the awards at the prestigious world competition for the best alcoholic beverage in 2019 (Concours Mondial de Bruxelles), which was held from 23 to 25 August in China, were also presented. In the competition with 1770 different types of alcoholic beverages from 59 countries, for some of the prestigious awards, due to their unquestionable quality, products from Serbia also won.
The big gold medal went to Hubert’s Apricot Brandy – Hubert Distillery 1924;
The gold medal was awarded to the Queen of Plum Brandy – Zarić Distillery and the Golden Valley of Dunja.
The silver medal was won by the Obsession of Raspberry Brandy Distillery Zarić and Prepečenica Rubin AD Kruševac.
